On your website ( http://www.kobayat.org/data/maronites/patriarchs.htm ) it is mentioned that Patriarch Elias Hoy(wa)ek is born in December 1843. The BBKL ( http://www.bautz.de/bbkl/h/koyek_e.shtml ) gives the same date.

Other publications give 4 December 1942 (Catholic Encyclopedia 1922, Annuaire Pontificale Catholique 1917 and 1932).

I would appreciate if you could check and let me know the correct date of his birth.

Estou enviando-lhe algumas fotos de minha família.Oportunamente vou enviar-lhe fotos de meus avós nascidos e criados em Kobayat.
Hoje temos um sítio na zona rural de nossa cidade e passamos os finais de semana com todos reunidos.
Mesmo as datas festivas sempre são comemoradas lá.
É um lindo espaço tipicamente rural e as crianças divertem-se muito.
Há fotos de nossos netos Charbel e Júlia que cresecem lindos e fortes, graças a Deus.
Nossos filhos são uma benção do Pai. Muito amorosos, Estão conosco sempre que podem.
Esse ano, em 05 de julho eu e a Zuleide vamos comemorar 40 anos de casamento.Bodas de Rubis.

Les photos publiées sont merveilleuses, ca m'a rappelé le bon vieux temps que j'ai passé dans toutes ces villes et surtout au sud du pays, dans le GRAND DESERT.
Mon cher ami, outre l'introduction historique faite, ce serait excellent si tu accompagnes chaque photo avec un succinct commentaire des Lieux, As-tu eu la chance d'admirer les belles roses du Désert ??? et les beaux tableaux magnifiquement modules par les grains de sable colories..

Mabrouk, il reste le complément a ne pas oublier, une dernière partie "LA CONTINUATION" Continuation de l'Histoire des Croisades de Guillaume de Tyr, par Bernard Le Trésorier.

Excellent travail mon cher Elie. Sans que nous soyons obligé de visiter les grandes bibliothèques spécialisées, tu as mis a notre disposition, une oeuvre de recherche importante, rare et de VALEUR, pour qui voudrait connaitre le déroulement historique de la période des croisées. C'est relatée par un contemporain qui a vécu l'action et la réplique, ainsi que les secrets, les détours et les dessous sur le lieux même... Objectivement c'est la relation entre la vision et l'action dans la relativité et l'histoire.

My name is Julia Samoty. I'm the daughter of Dr. Layla Bitar and my grand father is Isper Bitar (Abou Farid) from Andaket.
Anyhow, this is my last year at the Lebanese University Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management my major is " Guide Touristique".
My senior project is going to be about ANDAKET and I was thinking of adding Kobayat to it since they are known as sister villages.
I had collected a lot of information about Andaket and a lot of pictures as well. But I kind of need some concrete information, books, articles, maps, contact people, phone numbers, etc...
I was wondering if I can get your help in this project and I will be thankful for that because soon I am going to go to the North and start my field research.
